For my office hours , please meet me in my new office in Hutchinson 309 J.
Today, we had three great presentations. Thanks to Kirsis (Emotionally Disturbed), Ali (Selective Mutism) and Krista (Speech and Language Disorder). Well done! Please post your disability presentations on our page http://ukean.wikispaces.com/ID3051-Fall2011
(preferably as slideshare link.)
I tried to explain what an invisible web looks like. More details http://www.lib.berkeley.edu/TeachingLib/Guides/Internet/InvisibleWeb.html
We discussed different types of presentation software.and had a chance to explore hyperstudio (), slideshare, and prezi and post our weekly reflection and presentation (powerpoint, hyperstudio, slideshare or prezi) project to our portfolio space. Make sure to check each others’ EP and give feedback- http://ukean.wikispaces.com/E-portfolios
We also tried to use silhaoutte software and cutter printer to create designs. We will continue to make more designs next week. Think about classroom implications. If you have this printer, what would you do?
By next week,
Post your weekly reflection, start searching resources for your lesson plan- virtual field trips, poscasts, articles, webquests, games, cartoons, etc.
I mentioned langauge and brain development today. Please watch http://www.ted.com/talks/patricia_kuhl_the_linguistic_genius_of_babies.html
Reflect on our classroom presentations and activities. If the reflections are sensitive in nature, feel free to send me as an email.
Have a great weekend!
