Yesterday, Dr. Kong presented Literature, Media and China.

Students shared their Media experiences related to Asia.

My short notes and links viewed (Dr. Kong's Presentation):

What is literature?
Literature is a term used to describe written or spoken material. Broadly speaking, "literature" is used to describe anything from creative writing to more technical or scientific works, but the term is most commonly used to refer to works of the creative imagination, including works of poetry, drama, fiction, and nonfiction.

"There are thousand hamlets in thousand people's eyes"

"I left a piece of pie for you"- note on a refrigerator a literature?
but the words in the sentences can be a poetry that has literary value.

There are many different format/ Genre- historical writing, novel, poetry.

This week we are working on editing our literature reviews. We are especially checking for sign of sexism, racism and stereotypes. (e.g. se of he, she).
See activity March 13- https://sites.google.com/a/kean.edu/ge2022/syllabus/activity--march-13

Please write your response indicating how you respond to the links above and review each other's paper using the guidelines. Discuss one phrase or word that is offensive to you and also another person in your group found offensive and and post a journal in your portfolio- listing 5 things you learned and discussed today.
It can be a link, strategy in writing or an unbiased language...
